OP5252 - Opto-Isolated 64 Digital Output Module
The OP5252 is one of a range of optional versatile Signal Conditioning Interfaces for the Opal-RT Technologies state of the art HIL (hardware in the loop) systems (The OP5000 series). It is planned to be used where electrical decoupling, ground loop elimination is required or in high voltage environment where complete isolation is a must. |

Description
The OP5252 features 64 optically isolated inputs channels and 32 optically isolated outputs channels. All of those I/Os are sampled simultaneously for additional simulation accuracy. It perfectly suited to interface real life environment signals to TTL world for RT-LAB simulator providing perfect electrical isolation and provide a full short-circuit or discharge protection.
Features
64 optically isolated outputs channels
All outputs are sampled simultaneously for additional simulation accuracy.
I/Os can be grouped in parallel for any size bus simulation
User configurable filters, de-bounce time and conditionings inputs
Choice of sink or source inputs (Factory Options for Common Anode or Common cathode)
All inputs accept sources from 4V to 30V and limit the currant via user interchangeable resistors on sockets
Interfaces
Outputs
Each Opto-isolated Output had an Open Collector Transistor. It can sink up to 100mA and up to +30V relative to user’s reference. It is current protected by resettable fuse (PTC). The on board Opto-isolation circuitry had it own isolated power source and does not required any external power feed. If an external load is required, the power source to that load must be provided externally by the user.
At power up the all Outputs are left open.

Interconnections
The OP5252 is a carrier less module (type C). It fit directly into without carriers into the OP5000 series of Hardware In the Loop simulators. Up to four OP5252 can be positioned into a Wanda3U / 4U and up to six into a HIL BOX.
All user interfaces are accessible via a 96 pins 3 x 32 connector.
