Unable to start RT-LAB 10 (see C:\Opal-rt\RT-LAB10.x.x\Common\ui\configuration\1283538866500.log)

Question:

I am trying to open RT-LAB 10 but I get a pop-up error saying it cannot be started. It refers me to a file found under C:\Opal-rt\RT-LAB10.x.x\Common\ui\configuration. This file shows a lot of stuff like:

See attached file to see if yours looks like this one. What can I do?

Answer:

This can happen if multiple OpalDLoader are running on your host computer. Access the process running on the host computer (usually Ctrl+Alt+Delete will give you access). See if there are multiple OpalDLoader running. If yes, stop them all. Then, you'll have to relaunch the OpalDLoader in order for RT-LAB to work. To do so, open the Windows command prompt and type: OpalDLoader -s

If you look at the process running again, you should see one OpalDLoader only. Close the MetaController if it is open and reopen it. Try RT-LAB. Else, you can shutdown and restart the host computer, OpalDLoader will be set properly automatically.
